The following errors in the print edition have been
corrected in the digital edition. We acknowledge the assistance of Joan Harding,
Kathryn James, Jerome McGann,
Dorothy Mermin, Hedley Sutton, and Herbert Tucker in suggesting and verifying corrections.

- p. 11. Line 1. Transcription or typographical error: “Crabbl” → “Crabby”; MS source corrected to Balliol College.

- p. 225, n. 1, “The Bensons elude identification.” Not updated, but in correspondence to UVa Press, Joan N. Harding, Starling Benson of Swansea (D. Brown & sons, 1996).
