John Adams to Charles William Frederic Dumas

Dear Sir Bath Hotel Westminster May 29. 1785

I am now to inform you, that We arrived here on thursday the 26, and I have written to Messieurs Willinks Van Staphorsts and De la Lande and Fynje to send me all my Effects. I must beg the Favour of you, to oversee the Packing of my Books and let them Send me my Book Shelves and Ladder, because I Shall put all up here as they were at the Hague.

I have made my Visit to Lord Carmarthen and communicated to his Lordship my Full Powers. I was received with great Politeness, and am to have my Audience of the King on Wednesday.

My Family joins in Regards to you & yours. / your Friend and humble servant
