F. Soules to John Adams

9 Jun. 1785

Sir, no. 44 castle street oxford st. June the <8> 9th 85

The Capital part that your Excellency acted in the late american revolutions, makes me believe that an impartial account of them will not be disagreeable. Therefore I take the liberty to sollicit your Excellency’s name to my intended publication. I, likewise, flatter myself depending on the politeness which has always distinguished you, that should I be in need of any further documents your Excellency will not refuse to assist me. I am, most Respectfully / Sir, / your Excellency’s / most obedt: and most humble servt
