Philip Mazzei to John Adams

8 Aug. 1785

Dear Sir, Paris, 8. August 1785.

The unexpected and sudden departure of M.r Prentis (the bearer of this) puts it now out of my power to trouble you on several topics, which I intend to do by the next opportunity. I beg for the present the liberty of renewing to you my most sincere and most affectionate sentiments of great regard & esteem, with which I have the honour to be, / Dear Sir, / Your Excellency’s most Humb.e / & most Obedient Servant
