I had the pleasure to write you yesterday by the Mail, in answer to your favour of the 26th: ulto: and this morning I have received from Rotterdam, the copy of it, with a few additional lines, desiring to know when I shall set out. This is not yet in my power to say, for by late letters from the Government, I am desired to wait here, until the arrival of Mr: Murray. He sailed from Philadelphia about the 24th: of April, and is now expected here every day. When he arrives I shall have nothing to detain me.
