Our last Respects were of Yesterday, since when We have not received any of your esteemed fa[vou]rs
Silver with a Permission to be exported to Hamburg or other Neutral
Places, selling at a much higher rate than It would without such Allowance, We
sollicited same of the National Convention; Which having granted our Request, upon
production if proof of the Silver being for account of the United States, We are under
the Necessity, to request you to forward us in all dispatch and even by to Morrow’s Mail
if possible, a Certificate agreeable to the inclosed Model, signed with your
Official Seal.—

Adams Chargé des Affaires of the United-States at the Hague, do hereby declare and certify, that the Minister Plenipotentiary of the United-States at Paris, has addressed unto Messrs: Wilhem & Jan Willink, and Nics: & Jacob Van Staphorst & Hubbard Commissioners of the Loans of the United-States in Amsterdam, Silver in Barrs to the Amount of Two Hundred Seventy to Three Hundred Thousand Guilders, for account of the said United-States of America.—
