This site provides the full transcriptions of Dolley Madison’s letters and supplementary documents.  The complete DMDE, however, includes the identification and explanation of the various people, places, and things mentioned in Dolley’s corpus, as well as essays to help further contextualize the documents.  The complete DMDE also provides the reader with an expanded search engine.
