To John Adams from Oliver Wolcott, Jr.

Sir. Phila. Nov. 2d. 1799.

I have the Honour to enclose a Letter from Mr. Harper recommending Mr. Cook to be the District Judge of Maryland.... I agree with Mr. Harper, that whoever may be appointed the residence of the Judge ought to be in Baltimore.
