To Thomas Jefferson from Bernard Peyton, 22 April 1826

Dear Sir, Richd 22d Apl 1826

The balance of Trade being in favor of the North at present, we cannot obtain dfts: in that direction, I have however written to Mr E. Copeland J. of Boston, to draw on me at sight, for the acct you specify, on ℀ Messrs: Dodge & Oxnard of Mersailes, which will no doubt be very satisfactory to him.

With great respect Dr Sir Yours very Truly

Bernard Peyton
