To John Adams from Oliver Ellsworth

Mr. Ellsworth wishes to be informed by the Vice President whether when he has been quallified as such, any other oath has been administered to him than the general one vizt. “J. A—I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States—”? And if any other what has it been, and by what law prescribed?
