Sir	Philadelphia June 1. 1797—

I have received your favor of the 29th Ulto. with a pamphlet, containing a Statement of the Cause of the resignation of all the officers of the regiment of Artillery of the City and County of Newyork

I thank you for this communication and am sorry that so respectable a Corps should be for any cause dissolved
