From John Adams to Benjamin Stoddert

Dear Sir Quincy Aug 18 1800

Inclosed is a letter from John Frederick William Stintt as he says a Prussian requesting to be sett at liberty. If you see no impropriety in it, you may write to the commander of the castle to examine into the facts, & if he finds them true, sett the man free.
