Quincy Aug 24th 1800

Inclosed is a letter of the 21st of this month from his Excellency Govenor Monroe, which I request you to consider & report to me the result of your examination A marine hospital at Norfolk, I suppose is necessary for the United States.

P.S. The constitution arrived in Boston harbor yesterday.
